Hello. There is a test of your processor in a similar video. The cpu cannot reach 5ghz when all cores are running. It is the temperature that determines the render clock speed of the cpu. If the processor gets too hot, the clock speed is automatically reduced. Especially in laptops, cooling is a separate problem. Hi, thanks for the answer! In cpu-monkey that cpu score is 1371 pts and the mine is 950-960. During long gaming sessions(playing at high settings and high frames, fps and frametime are very stable) the temps are good, cpu and gpu ~ 75C, but the cpu freq and fps drop for a while(from several seconds to 1 or 2 minutes). This happens very rarely, several times for 6-7 hours. What bothers me is that the cpu is throttling right away to 3GHz and all his cores boost speed is 4.5GHz, if I am not wrong, and it seems like a big difference in performance to me . And about the power management it has power and current/edp throttling at the same time while gaming at the base frequency. As far as I know the cpu must be provided with sufficient power when it is operating at its base frequency, but some say that is normal for laptops. wrong comparison. 7532 s release date February 2020, 13900 release date September 2022. almost 3 years. You should compare epyc with xeon. 7532 max ram support 4TB. 13900K max ram support 128GB. It actually makes more sense if we think about it that way. 13900K test result 40000 12900K test resulrt 28000

@@hakankarci 3 years? This mean what? If client buying a new Epyc now which is cost 8K$ for a single cpu only. You need what business to cover your loses? 15K$ for a single server and after 3 years this machine is old and you still need to make profit at least 30K$. Even this machine is old and the price is not concurency compare it with other new machines which are cheap and faster. This will be very difficult and the reason for that is call - HPC. You can buy two i9 and connected/configure into HPC and the work they do is the same equal to single EPYC. The only different is the money. You can make a math. Just read about HPC. This old technology is provided by the both - Linux and Windows . Next time before spend so much money. Try first HPC with ten low-end cpus. And yes you can benchmarked and HPC will win.

Here are some reasons why server CPUs are expensive: Power Efficiency Designed for 24/7 use ECC Memory High Memory Capcity High PCIe lane count Security Features Find an i9 that can go 1000+ days of constant uptime with zero bugs, support 64 PCIe lanes, and 4 TB of ECC RAM. Oh yeah, and it can do it with passive-ish heat sinks. This is why you don't compare a desktop CPU and a Server CPU. They are two completely different use cases.

When you buy from oem such as dell, you don't find any amd cpu in those machine, and all company and labs buy theire stuff from oem. It's that simple. I just receive my Precision 7820 with 2x xeon silver, that's why i'm here looking at the cb score, and yeah, it's a bit underwhelming (was already buyed by my lab, so i won't complain it's a great machine, but yeah, if it was my monet, i wouldn't spend it that way). The advantages of this is the support for ecc memory, when you have calculations running for really long time (weeks), it's becomming important Also, come application don't scale well with amd (but with th raw power they have, would be favorable to their cpu anyway.
